Dominant Aryna Sabalenka Wins Consecutive WTA Player of the Year Honors.

The tennis star in action
Aryna Sabalenka concluded the year with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.

The 27-year-old won four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open in September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles title.

A Season of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the whole season as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Sabalenka ended the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and picked up a historic £11m in prize money.

She received almost 80% of the votes cast by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a greater prominence".
